Caregiver coaching + Consulting
Dr. Jana’s work focuses on understanding and meeting the needs of every member of the adoptive and foster family. She has counseled, studied, taught, trained, created, and researched foster and adoptive families for years, in addition to being a member of an adoptive family herself.
Taking what she’s learned, Dr. Jana has developed a new model that has proven effective for meeting the needs and improving the quality of life for foster and adoptive families. She firmly believes that connection and lasting change are possible when struggling families are provided with the right support, strategies, and skills.
Dr. Jana’s lived experience as a member of an adoptive family paired with her extensive research on adoptive family systems give her a unique perspective in helping caregivers gain fresh insights, practical tools, and needed relief for lasting change.

Family Consulting
$495 per package
Dr. Jana is known for her direct approach, as she prioritizes using her time wisely and efficiently with families for the most effective change and relief. She cares deeply about getting to the root of your family’s challenges in effort to create lasting change. If you find yourself stuck, not knowing what resources to access, what needs to consider, or where to begin in digging out of survival mode in your family, consulting services with Dr. Jana will provide clear guidance, next steps, resources to prioritize, and clarity on how to navigate the complexity of your family’s needs.
Consultation packages include three virtual sessions during a six-month period:
1) An initial needs assessment for caregivers to provide family history and current challenges. Initial direction, problem-solving, and resources are provided in this session.
2) A problem-solving session to dive into the family’s greatest stressors and concerns and determine best strategies and tools for immediate relief and long-term sustainment of change.
3) A follow-up session to continue providing relief of family’s greatest stressors and concerns while tailoring new strategies and tools to what has been tricky since the problem-solving session.
Note: If caregivers would like additional support after the initial three sessions, they can access ongoing, as-needed coaching sessions.
